How far is the beach from Wind & Wave Villas?
The beach is roughly 700 metres from the property and easily walkable — about a ten-minute stroll, with no main road to cross. We describe it as a beach resort rather than a beachfront one, because that difference is worth being straight about: you do not step from your room straight onto the sand. What you get in exchange is a quiet, gated coastal community instead of a building pressed against a public beach, and a stretch of coast that stays uncrowded even when Pondicherry's Promenade and Paradise Beach are busy. Several stays have an ocean, sea or bay view. For guests who want water without the walk, every stay has pool access: five villas have their own private pool and the rest share a large common pool open through the year.

What is there to do near the resort?
Pondicherry and Auroville are each about a 30-minute drive, which makes day trips straightforward while keeping the evenings quiet. In Pondicherry the French Quarter, Promenade Beach, the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the Botanical Garden are the usual anchors, and the town is compact enough to cover on foot once you park. Auroville has the Matrimandir, its visitor centre, and a cluster of bakeries and craft workshops. Paradise Beach is reached by ferry from Chunnambar, south of Pondicherry. Closer to the property, the draw is deliberately limited: the beach 700 m away, the pools, and a coastline with almost no development on it. Free parking on the premises means a hire car or taxi is practical, and it is the realistic way to get around — public transport on this stretch is sparse.
