What kinds of villas are available near Pondicherry?
Wind & Wave Villas has 21 stays, split into three broad types. Five are 3BHK villas with their own private swimming pool, each sleeping up to 10 across 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms — the option for a group that wants a pool to itself. A further eight are villas of two to three bedrooms sharing the property's large common pool, suitable for a family or two couples travelling together. The remaining eight are Luxury Stay rooms with a home-theatre setup, sized for couples and small families, also with common pool access. Seven of the stays include a kitchen. All of them sit inside the same gated coastal property at Chettikuppam, 30 minutes from Pondicherry and Auroville, with the beach a 700 m walk away.
Is a villa better value than a hotel in Pondicherry?
For two people staying one or two nights, a hotel in Pondicherry town is usually simpler and you can walk to dinner. For a group, the arithmetic flips quickly. A 3BHK villa here sleeps 10 across 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for a single nightly rate; the equivalent in town is four or five separate rooms, each with its own rate and none of them connected. Seven of the stays have a kitchen, which takes the pressure off restaurant meals for a longer stay, and parking on the premises is free rather than an extra charge or a street-parking problem.
