Moonlight Luxury Villa and our villas both look after large parties, but they do it in opposite settings. Moonlight is one big house in Pondicherry town, a few minutes from the centre. We are a gated beach property up the coast at Chettikuppam, with 21 villas and stays spread across one site.

What does Moonlight Luxury Villa offer?
Moonlight Luxury Villa is at Devaki Nagar in Krishna Nagar, a residential part of Pondicherry town. It has eight bedrooms under one roof, a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace, with staff on hand during your stay.
Its location is its strength. The town centre is a few minutes away, so the French Quarter, the promenade and the cafes are an easy hop for dinner or an evening walk. The beach is about 2 km away.
Moonlight is also used for personal and professional events and celebrations. Eight bedrooms in one house suits a party that wants to be together all the time, and the rooftop terrace gives a big group somewhere to gather in the evening.

We are a gated beach property at Chettikuppam, in a quiet coastal community between Marakkanam and Pondicherry. There are 21 villas and stays on one property.
- Five 3BHK villas, Villas 15 to 19, each with a private swimming pool, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, five queen beds, two living rooms with a pool view, a kitchen, a workspace and a projector or home theatre, for up to 10 guests.
- Eight 2BHK Luxury Stays for up to 6 guests, with a home theatre and a common pool.
- 2BHK villas 09 to 14 for up to 4 guests, with a common pool.
- Villa No 2, a 2BHK with two bathrooms, a sea facing terrace and a kitchen, for up to 8. Pets allowed.
- Villa No 5, a 2BHK that also allows pets.
Town or coast: how do the locations compare?
If you want to be in the town, Moonlight is the better choice. Being a few minutes from the centre means you can walk the French Quarter in the morning, come back to swim, and head out again for dinner without a long drive.
Our property is about a 30 minute drive from both Pondicherry town and Auroville. In return you get a quiet coast, a beach that is a 700 m walk away, and a gate that keeps traffic out. Mornings start with the sea rather than the street. Parking is free inside the gate, which helps when a group arrives in several cars.

Pools and privacy: how do they compare?
Moonlight has one swimming pool for its eight bedrooms. That works when the whole party is one family or one circle of friends who are happy to share everything.
With us, each 3BHK villa has its own private pool, with two living rooms looking onto it. When a large group takes several villas, each household gets its own pool, kitchen and living space, then meets the others when it wants to. Our 2BHK stays share a common pool, so choose a 3BHK villa if a private pool is a must.
Every unit has air conditioning and fans, generator power backup and an outdoor shower.
